Thomas Bentham known to some as “Mousie”, moved to Auckland in 2004 to further his sailing aspirations and study towards a bachelors degree. In 2005 he took some time out from university to work in the marine industry. He has now returned to study and is currently studying geophysics. Since graduating from the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Youth Training Program he has competed in a number of national class championships as well as numerous coastal races. Now for Aon Racing Tom is the team strategist and takes care of bow or trim.
Outside of yachting he also enjoys touch rugby, wakeboarding and trail running.
