Reuben Corbett

Reuben Corbett is helmsman for Aon Racing. He grew up in Kerikeri on the family farm whilst attending Kerikeri High School. It was here that he began his sailing under the guidance of Derry Godbert where the team went on to win several National and Interdominion Championships. Reuben became Head Boy of Kerikeri High School in his final year before moving to Auckland to gain a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in International Business and Economics. While studying in Auckland Reuben joined the well renowned Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Youth Training Program where he learned the art of Match Racing under coach Guy Pilkington. Upon graduating from the program Reuben amongst others formed the Aon Racing team in order to pursue the goal of becoming Match Racing World Champions.

As well as sailing himself, Reuben enjoys coaching particularly team and match racing. Outside of yachting, Reuben likes to give all sports a crack as well as enjoying those all important beach holidays.
