Kia ora,
Day 2 of the Chicago Grade 1 dawned cold and wet, but fortunately not too windy for racing just yet. With high winds forecast for tomorrow the race committee planned to finish the round robin and repercharge stages as quickly as possible in case racing could not be held on Friday.
The team managed to keep their form strong today, winning 2 races from 3 to finish 5th in the round robin stage of the regatta. This was a fantastic comeback from the team, winning 6 of their last 7 races after starting the regatta with 4 losses. Today's racetrack was fairly straightforward...

After dispersing across the globe the Aon Racing team has reunited in Chicago to compete in the Chicago Grade 1 Match Race. The regatta is sailed in Tom Max 28's, a boat that the team is familiar with and which only requires a crew of 4 sailors. Racing is being held in the heart of the city just off the end of Navy Pier, a location that organisers hope will draw big crowds this weekend. A tough line up of sailors have converged on Chicago to vie for the title, including world number 5 Pierre-antoine Morvan and World Tour card holder Phil Robertson.

Unfortunately day 3 of the Oakcliff international did not go quite as planned for the Aon Racing crew. We managed good wins against the round robin leaders, Laurie Jury and Will Tiller, but unfortunately lost some of our supposedly easier races, not that there is such thing as an easy race in this competition. This left us in 6th place after the round robin finished. Unfortunately the race committee then decided to cut the quarter finals out of the program, a move which disappointed a number of teams who felt that they still had time to run the full series.

Hello,
Aon Racing is currently competing in the Oakcliff International regatta held off long island, New York. In light and fickle winds on day one the team put on a fantastic display, winning 3 out of 3 races to top the scoreboard. Unfortunately on day two the performance was quite opposite, leaving us on 5 wins and 6 losses with 7 more races to sail in the double round robin. The day was action packed on the water, with several big collisions and points deducted for boat damage. Luckily the team escaped with both their points and wallets unscathed from the days excitement.
